Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing company. The role of the Service Technician – Mobile Refrigeration is to perform mobile mechanical repair at customer locations, with on-the-job training to advance toward Service Technician status.

As MHC grows, the position emphasizes preventative maintenance, expert troubleshooting, and reliable on-site service to a broad base of commercial customers across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Carrier and Thermo King unit operations.
• Self-starter able to manage own time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers relative to mobile service.
• On the Job Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile mechanical repair at customer locations.
• Conduct preventative, contract and scheduled maintenance on customer equipment.
• Repair basic refrigeration, fuel systems, electrical systems, microprocessors, cooling systems and general maintenance.
• Promote and sell mobile service to potential customers.
• Troubleshoot unit problems.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Maintain a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of tools.
• Advise the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follow safe work practices and seek assistance when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The role of the Service Technician – Mobile Refrigeration is responsible performs mobile mechanical repair at customer locations, receiving on the job training in development program to achieve Service Technician status.

• Performs preventative, contract and scheduled maintenance on customer equipment utilizing a mobile service vehicle.
• Able to repair basic refrigeration, fuel systems, electrical systems, microprocessors, cooling systems and general maintenance.
• Promotes and sells mobile service to potential customers.
• Performs trouble shooting on unit problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
