Job summary

Sasser is seeking a Field Service Specialist to deliver high-quality on-site railcar repairs at customer facilities across North America. You will ensure AAR compliance, complete accurate billing documentation, and provide exceptional service to railroads, lessors, and shippers.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of CF Rail courses, and strong communication skills. The role involves travel, PPE use, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must complete CF Rail Management-coordinated courses with 80%+.
• Proven customer service via phone and in person.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical/regulatory material in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service technician functions on-site at customer facilities.
• Conduct air brake diagnostic testing and qualify brake systems per AAR specs.
• Inspect railcars for mechanical defects and repair as instructed.
• Complete pre-, in-process, and post-repair inspections and repairs.
• Follow AAR Field Manual and regulatory materials accurately.
• Wear PPE in designated areas.
• Travel within a 200-mile region and occasionally longer.
