Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mobile Radar Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis team in Huntsville, AL. You will design structural enclosures, integrate features into the ALPS-M system, and collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and other engineering teams using SolidWorks and Windchill.

Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (ABET-accredited) with under 2 years of experience, strong SolidWorks skills, GD&T knowledge, and a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with <2 years experience.
• Strong SolidWorks user and experience with drawing per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5.
• Basic understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; self-starter who can work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Structural and enclosure design in SolidWorks; produce data packages per MIL-STD-31000.
