Job summary

Lendable is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead automation for its mobile app in a fast-growing fintech environment. You will define and own the mobile test strategy, work with cross-functional teams, and apply AI tools to accelerate testing while maintaining high reliability.

You will collaborate with software engineers, product and design to build robust test suites, improve CI/CD pipelines, and reduce flakiness across the product.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Maestro or Detox.
• 5+ years in quality engineering or test automation, with a track record of keeping automated suites stable.
• Experience working in a scaled engineering environment with multiple teams pulling in different directions.
• Hands-on coding experience of writing test code, frameworks, CI pipelines and other helper scripts.
• API and contract testing experience, with a point of view on test data and environment strategy.
• Have set up and used Service Level Objectives to define a contract of system reliability.
• Native AI-assisted working style with projects where AI changed how you worked.
• Coaching other disciplines in quality and improving quality practices.
• Experience shaping CI/CD pipelines for test reliability including flakiness reduction.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile test strategy: define a pragmatic test pyramid for React Native and decide coverage levels.
• Enable teams to keep the quality bar high by rotating across product teams and defining testing layers.
• Bring AI testing into the SDLC to speed up test authoring and failure triage.
• Build reliable end-to-end automation, ensure test environments and data fixtures are reliable.
• Prevent defects by shift-left quality and integrating with observability tools.
