Job summary

Ling is a language learning app with 2M+ learners across 70+ languages. We seek a senior QA Automation Engineer to own automation roadmap, expand AI-driven testing, and mentor two QA engineers.

The role balances automation tooling (60%) with hands-on testing and release sign-off (40%), across iOS and Android platforms. You’ll build AI-driven workflows, expand Maestro coverage, and integrate Bruno APIs into CI to ensure rapid, reliable releases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on QA experience, including mobile apps.
• Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android.
• Experience with automated tests used by a real engineering team.
• Strong experience with mobile automation, ideally Maestro.
• Experience with API test automation, Bruno.
• Experience with CI/CD and integrating tests into workflows.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing or AI agent tooling.
• Hands-on with MCP-based tooling or device automation.
• Experience with chaos testing, fuzz testing, or finding unexpected failures.
• Experience testing in-app purchases on App Store and Google Play.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow Maestro test suite across iOS and Android.
• Extend API test coverage in Bruno and CI integration.
• Build and maintain AI-driven testing workflows using Claude, MCP, Maestro MCP, Agent Device, and Argent MCP.
• Build agents to compare code changes against tickets and identify testing needs.
• Maintain nightly AI-driven chaos testing with video capture and reporting to tickets.
• Prioritize automation work based on risk and value and present to the team.
• Evaluate new AI/testing tools and integrate useful ones into the workflow.
