Job summary

Procom is seeking a QA Automation Test Engineer (Mobile) to join the chatbot team in Austin on a 4-month hybrid contract. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Appium, and execute tests across iOS and Android, including post-deployment and regression testing.

You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and managers to define acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Strong Appium proficiency for mobile test automation.
• Hands-on coding in Java or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Zephyr, or similar).
• Agile/Scrum methodologies and ceremonies.
• Understanding of mobile development lifecycles (iOS/Android) and CI/CD practices.
• 3–5 years of mobile application testing with 3+ years in test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test suites using Appium, building on existing XCUI and Espresso suites.
• Execute manual and automated tests across mobile platforms, including post-deployment and regression testing.
• Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps, escalating critical issues promptly.
• Build test cases for new chatbot features as they are released.
• Track quality metrics and ensure features meet business requirements.
