Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in mobile test automation and hands-on experience validating AI chatbot workflows.

You will build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for native iOS and Android apps while ensuring AI-powered conversational experiences meet functional, quality, and user experience expectations. The role requires hands-on Appium framework development, strong mobile automation architecture knowledge, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Software QA / SDET experience.
• Experience building mobile automation frameworks from scratch using Appium.
• Hands-on automation experience for native iOS and Android apps.
• Strong understanding of mobile automation architecture, reusable components, and Page Object Model.
• Experience automating end-to-end mobile user flows including authentication, navigation, push notifications, deep links, and API-integrated workflows.
• Experience with Java (preferred) or another OO language.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Experience with SQL for backend data validation.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience testing AI chatbot or conversational AI workflows.
• Experience validating chatbot responses, conversational flows, prompts, context retention, and user interactions.
• Experience performing functional testing of AI-powered user experiences.
• Familiarity with validating AI response quality, edge cases, and conversational behavior.
• Experience working with AI/GenAI development teams is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable mobile automation frameworks for native iOS and Android apps.
• Validate end-to-end mobile user flows including authentication and navigation.
• Test AI chatbot interactions and conversational AI workflows in production-like environments.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure high-quality releases through automated validation.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and maintain test artifacts.
