Coinbase is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA to lead the mobile QA infrastructure for the native iOS/Android rewrite of the Coinbase mobile app. The role shapes test strategy, release gates, and quality dashboards used by ~30 product teams in a remote-first but not remote-only environment.

You will define the QA onboarding playbook, mentor engineers, and partner with engineering leadership to maintain high standards while enabling fast releases. Base salary varies by location.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering focusing on mobile QA infrastructure.
• Experience architecting automated regression systems for iOS and Android at scale.
• Ability to define test strategies used by multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile QA infrastructure strategy across native rewrite.
• Build and scale automated test systems for regression, performance, and release readiness.
• Lead QA readiness for phased rollout with clear metrics and resources.
• Guide resource allocation for testing to maximize quality gains.
• Define SLOs and quality dashboards with engineering, product, and design.
• Mentor engineers on test architecture, native debugging, and quality standards.
