Powerback Rehabilitation in South Windsor, CT is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for Mobile Outpatient Therapy, full-time, to provide in-home outpatient rehabilitation for older adults across settings. The role supports supervision by a Licensed Physical Therapist and offers flexible scheduling and a nationwide care approach.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license in practicing state(s).
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care conferences and required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules, ensures timely clinical and billing documentation.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement individualized programs for each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in skills and techniques under supervision.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• Puts patient service first and provides compassionate care.
• Implements the patient’s individualized treatment plan.
• Provides treatments including exercise, gait training, manual therapy, airway techniques, and wellness activities.
