Job summary

Goddard Riverside Community Center in New York, NY seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for IMT clients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexible schedule, 17.5 hours per week, field work across NYC, and collaboration with medical and behavioral health providers.

The role requires NYS PNP/PMHNP licensure and active registration, with experience in MAT and harm-reduction approaches preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry license and active NYS registration required (PNP/PMHNP/PMHNP-BC).
• Collaborative practice agreement completion (>3600 hours).
• DEA registration or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire with prescriptive authority (including Buprenorphine).

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and reassessment for IMT clients.
• Prescribe, administer, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications and medications for substance use disorders, including MAT and LAI antipsychotics when clinically appropriate.
• Assess psychiatric, medical, substance use, medication adherence, side effects, and treatment response.
• Provide services in office, community, shelter, street, subway, hospital, supportive housing, carceral, and other field-based settings.
• Coordinate care with medical and substance use providers, hospitals, pharmacies, AOT, families, and other collateral supports as necessary.
• Provide psychiatric consultation, crisis support, clinical guidance, and urgent intervention support to clients and the multidisciplinary IMT team.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, supervision, clinical reviews, trainings, and shared case management activities.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with program, regulatory, and funder requirements.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
