New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center is seeking a warm and empathetic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role offers full or part-time hybrid scheduling under supervision as required, with competitive salary and flexible hours.

Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ordering tests, crisis intervention, and coordination with providers.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Must be licensed in New York State as a psychiatric NP and DEA-registered to prescribe.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, assessment, diagnostic and psychopharmacology skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team with diverse populations.

Responsabilités

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
• Prescribe or recommend medications and related therapies.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify health needs.
• Order laboratory tests and other procedures.
• Refer clients to specialized health resources.
• Perform crisis intervention and coordinate care with healthcare teams.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other professionals; may cover other sites.
