Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking a Power Systems Rental Equipment Field Mechanic to service generator, HVAC, and compressed air systems in-field and at job sites. The role requires clear English communication, the ability to work safely, and a readiness to travel to client sites as needed.

The position emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and proper setup of equipment with attention to safety policies and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; DOT licensing/medical card as dictated by vehicle size.
• Six months related experience in field service or similar environment.
• Must have strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Own and maintain required personal tools; CDL if required by state/federal law.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair generator, HVAC, and compressed air systems.
• Inspect, service, and prepare equipment for delivery.
• Set up equipment at jobsite with cables, hoses, and electrical panels.
• Instruct client on safe operation and maintain client relations.
• Occasional overtime and travel to remote locations as needed.
