Job summary

Western States Equipment Co is seeking a field service technician to perform contracted routine maintenance on power systems, generator packages and related components in customer sites across Washington state. The role requires coordination with senior technicians and adherence to safety standards.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot, document activities, and assist with load bank testing while maintaining professionalism and accuracy in all reports and timecards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree from a vocational school is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of troubleshooting and maintenance experience with Power Systems products required.
• Must own required tools and meet DOT requirements.
• Communicate effectively in English (spoken, read, written).
• Ability to travel frequently and work overtime with little notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on generator packages, industrial engines, and power system components.
• Assist senior technicians with load bank testing and cabling.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Prepare service reports, work orders, parts lists and time cards.
• Maintain safety and professional conduct on job sites.
• Collaborate with EPG Field technicians as required.
