Job summary

Responsibilities

• Properly identifies patient before obtaining specimen and labels the samples.
• Performs laboratory procedures at the time of collection.
• Transports patients' specimens to the laboratory or arranges delivery.
• Keys and verifies computer input data, assigns IDs, and prints labels/reports.
• Answers telephones, routes calls, and provides information to callers.
• Collects patients' blood specimens at outside clinics/facilities and prepares specimens for transport.
