Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months' experience collecting blood specimens.
• Knowledge of proper sample labeling and chain of custody.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens and maintains specimen integrity for tests.
• Properly identifies patients and labels samples per policies.
• Transports specimens to the lab or coordinates delivery with outside labs.
• Verifies data entry, prepares batch lists, and supports lab staff as needed.
• Resolves routine collection issues and adheres to safety guidelines.
