Job summary

eHealthScreenings in Crescent City, CA is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our PRN team. Perform biometric testing, fingerstick and venipuncture blood draws at client sites for local employees. Requires high school diploma or GED and current national phlebotomy certification.

This PRN role offers flexible, event-based hours with morning availability and mileage reimbursement. Candidates should have excellent customer service, be able to work independently, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Current national phlebotomy certification from a Premise Health approved organization.
• Hands-on externship or equivalent training required.
• Active state phlebotomy certification for NV/CA/WA/LA where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform biometric testing and record results (height, weight, BP, BMI).
• Blood collection via fingerstick or venipuncture in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare specimens for storage or further processing.
• Set up and break down portable biometric stations.
• Transport supplies to and from screening events as needed (up to 20 lbs).
• Maintain logs and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Must have morning availability for event-based work.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking Health Screeners to join our team in Crescent City, CA. eHealthScreenings, a Premise Health Company, specializes in national biometric screenings and we have exciting opportunities for Mobile Phlebotomists and Health Screeners.

What would make you successful in this role?

• Strong customer service skills
• Previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience
• Ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results, including height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI
• Blood testing, including fingerstick and/or venipuncture blood draws in a fast‑paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw/biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintain logs and records for all laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday‑Friday) for event‑based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required
• Current national certification in phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization, OR one of the following:
  • Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited phlebotomy program with hands‑on externship completed
  • Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
  • Active state‑specific phlebotomy certification required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA, WA, and LA

Experience

One year of health screening or phlebotomy experience preferred.

Compensation

Payment range: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
