In this part-time role, you will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, verify patient data, and ensure proper specimen labeling and transport. You will work independently with flexible scheduling while delivering reliable service to elderly patients and partners.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks.
• Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing before working on Home Draw team.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Peoria, IL.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel.
