Job summary

Madison Core Laboratories in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Mobile Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens safely and accurately while traveling between multiple locations.

The role requires a flexible schedule, travel to Madison, Decatur, Athens, Owens Cross Roads, and surrounding areas, and a clean motor vehicle record. Phlebotomy certification preferred; HS diploma required; 3 years experience preferred; compensation and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred; clean motor vehicle record required.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and capable of travel.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently collect blood and other specimen samples based on facility and patient needs.
• Verify patient identity and personal information using appropriate identification and/or medical records.
• Ensure the quality and appropriate quantity of all collected specimens.
• Properly label, handle, prepare, and transport specimens for laboratory testing.
• Respond professionally to patient questions and provide appropriate information regarding collection procedures.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional approach when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Adhere to all applicable health, safety, infection-control, and laboratory standards while traveling between locations.
• Maintain reliability and effective time management while completing assigned mobile routes.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.
