Job summary

Madison Core Laboratories is seeking an experienced Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. The role requires traveling to multiple facilities across Alabama, collecting blood and specimens with accuracy and empathy.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a valid motor vehicle record. Phlebotomy certification is preferred; position offers a flexible schedule and professional growth within a state-of-the-art laboratory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to travel between multiple service locations and maintain a flexible schedule.
• Travel across designated areas within Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently collect blood and other specimen samples based on facility and patient needs.
• Verify patient identity and personal information using appropriate identification and/or medical records.
• Ensure the quality and appropriate quantity of all collected specimens.
• Properly label, handle, prepare, and transport specimens for laboratory testing.
• Respond professionally to patient questions and provide information regarding collection procedures.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional approach with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Adhere to health, safety, infection-control, and laboratory standards while traveling between locations.
• Maintain reliability and effective time management while completing mobile routes; follow supervisor instructions.
