Job summary

Madison Core Laboratories is seeking an experienced Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves traveling between service locations across Alabama to collect blood and other specimens with accuracy and compassion.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and a clean driving record. Flexible schedule and travel to numerous sites including Huntsville, Birmingham, Decatur, and surrounding areas are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle record required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently collect blood and other specimen samples based on facility and patient needs.
• Verify patient identity and personal information using appropriate identification and/or medical records.
• Ensure the quality and appropriate quantity of all collected specimens.
• Properly label, handle, prepare, and transport specimens for laboratory testing.
• Respond professionally to patient questions and provide appropriate information regarding collection procedures.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional approach when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Adhere to all applicable health, safety, infection-control, and laboratory standards while working at facilities and traveling between locations.
• Maintain reliability and effective time management while completing assigned mobile routes.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.
