Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking an on-site Per Diem Lab Support Technician at the Health Center in Palmer Township to collect specimens, perform waived testing under supervision, and assist with patient registration and order entry.

The role requires venipuncture skills, basic computer skills, and flexibility with hours including Saturdays. Travel within 25 miles may be required; a high school diploma and bilingual Spanish ability may be preferred depending on the location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, and to communicate effectively; bilingual Spanish may be required.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens.
• Registers patients; requisitions lab orders and verifies billing information.
• Processes, stores, and transports specimens per laboratory requirements.
• Provides customer service and supports team members.
• Travel to sites within 25 miles as needed for coverage.
