Responsibilities

• Collects clinical specimens and handles patient registration, order entry and specimen processing under supervision.
• Performs waived testing with supervision.
• Provides logistical support to team and customers.
• Performs venipunctures.
• Collects other specimens and explains collection procedures to patients.
• Registers patients; requisitions lab orders; verifies billing information.
• Processes, stores, and transports specimens per lab requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of specimen requirements and collection devices.
