Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a versatile staff member to assist with specimen collection, registration, and processing at our Laurys Station location. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, and providing courteous support to patients and team members.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED with up to two years of related experience; bilingual abilities may be required based on location. Travel within 25 miles and on-call duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence.
• May require bilingual abilities (Spanish) depending on service location.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens; explains collection procedures.
• Registers patients; requisitions lab orders and verifies billing information.
• Processes, stores, and transports specimens following lab requirements.
• Maintains inventory and a clean work area; supports team members and customers.
• Provides on-call and mobile service as required; travels within 25 miles as needed.
