Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a phlebotomist to work in patient-facing roles at client facilities, often nursing homes. You will perform specimen collection, labeling, and delivery, ensuring proper patient verification and specimen handling.

Responsibilities include driving a personal vehicle as needed, coordinating with dispatch, and maintaining sterile conditions while following universal precautions.

Qualifications

• Current, valid State phlebotomy license.
• Valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drives personal vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and brings to patient bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.
• Accurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s).
• Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens.
• Reloads equipment and specimens to vehicle for delivery.
• Communicates with dispatcher to report status and location.
• Adheres to Universal Precautions to prevent exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
