Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology is seeking a mobile phlebotomist in Bakersfield, CA. You will travel to client facilities (primarily nursing homes) using your own vehicle, draw blood, and ensure proper labeling and data entry.

Responsibilities include following phlebotomy procedures, patient identification, and timely communication with dispatch. A valid CPT/Phleb certification, licensure as required, and strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold current clinical licensure if required by state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relating to laboratory purposes.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and site decontamination.
• Knowledge of specimen preservation and patient preparation.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities using personal vehicle.
• Follow established phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples.
• Identify patients accurately prior to drawing.
• Label specimens properly with requisitions and billing info.
• Transport PHI per policy and maintain logs and records.
• Coordinate with dispatch, lab, and courier teams.
• Maintain equipment and report issues promptly.
• Be available to work when on duty and notify for future assignments.
