Job summary

Community Blood Center seeks a Mobile Unit Operator to join our donor services in Missouri. This role performs whole blood collection, donor interviews, post-draw processing, and mobile-site setup.

You will travel between donor centers and mobile units, ensuring safety and quality of care for donors. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and customer-service experience; healthcare/phlebotomy knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience interacting with customers or the public in a service-oriented setting.
• Preferred: healthcare environment and/or phlebotomy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to donors and ensure a positive experience.
• Perform whole blood collection and phlebotomy duties as required.
• Conduct donor interviews and assess donor suitability per SOPs.
• Record donor hemoglobin and vital signs and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor information and ensure quality standards.
• Travel between donor centers and mobile sites to meet operations.
• Set up mobile sites and ensure equipment is ready for the draw.
• Comply with safety, regulatory, and privacy requirements.
