Job summary

Natera is seeking a Phlebotomist to serve patients by selecting the best blood-collection method, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring proper packing and shipping procedures. The role involves mobile work, patient verification, venipuncture, and strict adherence to safety and privacy standards.

You will work with PHI in paper and electronic formats, maintain specimen integrity, and coordinate with the mobile team to resolve orders.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience: minimum 2 years.
• National Phlebotomy Certification may be required depending on the state.
• HS diploma required; RN/BS/BA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test orders by comparing information with requisition forms.
• Verifies patient identity.
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and department procedures.
• Tracks collected specimens and maintains daily tallies.
• Ensures safe, compliant work environment and follows regulations.
• Updates job knowledge through continued education and professional networks.
• Coordinates with the mobile phlebotomy team to resolve order issues.
• Updates statuses and tracking in Skedulo.
• Completes training within 30 days and maintains training status.
