Job summary

The Cowlitz Indian Tribe seeks a Peer Support Specialist to join the Mobile OTP Unit in Vancouver, Washington. You will provide empathetic, person-centered support, help patients set recovery goals, and connect them with housing, transportation, and primary care as part of a team.

Working in a mobile clinic and community settings, you will document interactions in the EHR, participate in outreach, coordinate with tribal programs, and advocate for patients while maintaining HIPAA and 42 CFR Part

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CPSS credential in Washington is required.
• Lived recovery experience or strong understanding of recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support, encouragement, and advocacy to patients in recovery.
• Coordinate care and navigate resources including housing, transportation, and primary care.
• Engage in mobile unit outreach and community-based activities.
• Document interactions in the EHR per policy and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with care team members and participate in team meetings.
• Maintain HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality and professional boundaries.
