Job summary

Hawthorne Health is seeking a travel-based sonographer to perform echocardiograms at patient homes, including pediatric cases, with equipment setup and patient support. You will ensure image quality and prepare preliminary reports in line with ASE standards.

The role requires RDCS or RCS credentials, AE certification, 3+ years of experience, BLS, and willingness to travel locally. Strong communication and independence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification required.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech-savvy and self-sufficient with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field environments.
• Time management and strong organizational skills.

WHAT YOU BRING | REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer(RDCS)from ARDMS,or Registered Cardiac Sonographer(RCS)from CCI.

• Certification in Adult (AE) is required, Pediatric (PE) certification not required but a plus

• 3+ years of recent sonography experience,in both adult and pediatrics

• Basic Life Support(BLS)

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally

• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required; Tech savvy andself sufficientwith digital tools

• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings

• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner

$450 - $600 a day

Rate of pay is per visit, not per day.
