Job summary

Campaign-Against-Hunger seeks a Mobile Unit Coordinator to oversee food distribution operations across Brooklyn and Queens. You’ll manage partner communications, plan tailored menus, and supervise inventory with a focus on food safety.

You will collect distribution data, track waste, and report findings to improve service delivery. The role requires strong organization, good communication, and on-site work at multiple distribution centers, including Arverne and East New York.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in community outreach, logistics, or food distribution preferred.
• Moderate computer skills, including Excel and Google Sheets.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations at food distribution centers and serve as main partner contact.
• Plan menus for pickup and delivery partners and coordinate inventory with the team.
• Apply FIFO inventory practices and ensure safe, sanitary storage of all items.
• Maintain records of distributions and clients served; report monthly metrics.
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to optimize delivery schedules.
• Utilize Excel/Sheets to track inventory and generate routine reports.
