Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient and in-home rehabilitation services in the Toms River, NJ area. You will work under a Licensed Physical Therapist to provide specialized therapy, patient education, and functional interventions in diverse home and facility-based settings.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from the patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and meetings as a representative of physical therapy under the direction of the licensed therapist.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules, completes timely clinical and billing documentation.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to implement programs suited to each patient's needs.
• Assists the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and families in therapy skills under supervision of the therapist.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
