Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Craig, Colorado, seeks a field service technician to provide mobile OTR tire service at customer sites. You will mount, dismount, and repair heavy tires and inspect components for wear and safety.

Ideal candidates have 21+ years old, a valid license, and experience with heavy equipment tires. CDL may be preferred; pre-employment drug screen required. Benefits include health plans and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred.
• Capable of lifting 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service truck to provide OTR tire service at customer and job-site locations.
• Mount, dismount, repair, and service OTR tires on heavy equipment.
• Inspect tires, wheels, rims, and related components for wear and repair needs.
• Diagnose tire-related issues and determine repair or replacement.
• Safely remove and position large tires using hydraulic equipment.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency field service calls.
• Maintain service truck, tools, and tire inventory.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate recommendations to customers and management.
• Participate in after-hours and on-call rotations.
