Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls with a fully equipped service truck. You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires of all types and diagnose tire issues while performing light mechanical repairs.

The role requires lifting 30–250 lb tires, driving with a valid license (CDL preferred but not required), and delivering strong customer service in varying weather and road conditions. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred.
• Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30–250 lbs.
• Capable of working independently in varying weather and road conditions.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair all types of tires.
• Diagnose and repair tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks when required.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in safe condition.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear communication of service details and timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
