Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a Mobile OTR Tire Technician to service customer and job-site locations across Texas. The role involves mounting, dismounting, repairing, and replacing OTR tires on construction, mining, quarry, and other heavy equipment, with emphasis on safety and customer communication.

You will inspect tires and related components, diagnose issues, and perform repairs or replacements. A valid license and ability to pass a drug screen are required, with CDL/DOT certification

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• OTR tire or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• CDL and/or DOT certification may be required depending on assigned service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service truck to provide OTR tire service at customer and job-site locations.
• Mount, dismount, repair, replace, and service OTR tires on heavy equipment.
• Inspect tires, wheels, rims, and related components for wear and serviceability.
• Diagnose tire issues and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Safely remove, install, and position large OTR tires using hydraulic equipment and tools.
• Respond to scheduled and emergency field service calls.
• Maintain service truck, tools, equipment, and tire inventory.
• Complete required inspections and service tickets.
