Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist for part-time coverage (2-3 days per week) across the greater Waco, TX area. You will deliver on-site optometry services within nursing homes and long-term care facilities, with full clinical autonomy and no patient quotas.

The role offers a competitive compensation plan with a $625 daily minimum and production-based earnings of $800+ per day, plus mileage reimbursement and comprehensive support including malpractice coverage and a dedicated regulatory team.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) and state license.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living, and long-term care facilities.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders; manage diseases of the visual system.
• Enter patient information and complete clinical documentation in EMR.
• Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities to serve an assigned territory.
