Job summary
HealthDrive is seeking Optometrists to provide comprehensive eye care in nursing homes and long-term care facilities across Indiana and North Carolina. The role offers full-time or part-time schedules (2-5 days per week) with daily travel to facilities.
You will diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders, manage diseases of the visual system, document in our EMR, and enjoy 100% malpractice coverage, a sign-on bonus for full-time, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive administrative
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Optometry (OD) required and valid state license.
- Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
- Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
- Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the visual system and the eye.
- Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
- Enter patient information and complete charting in EMR.
- Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities for patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
