Vision To Learn is seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician in Newark, NJ. You will perform high-quality eye screenings, assist with frame selection, and help deliver glasses to students in underserved communities as part of a mobile clinic team.

The role requires weekend and school-hour activity with a strong emphasis on service, teamwork, and adherence to health and safety protocols, including HIPAA compliance. Opportunities include benefits and sign-on/retention bonuses.

Qualifications

• Optometric experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Experience working with children and diverse populations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be active for an 8-hour shift.

Responsabilités

• Oversee inside lane eye exams operation in schools or community buildings.
• Oversee mobile and/or inside lane eye clinic operation and maintain professional standards.
• Pre-test children and assist with frame selections for proper fit.
• Conduct vision screenings using a Welch Allyn Spot Check Vision Screener.
• Complete daily reports and follow up with caregivers for feedback.
• Adhere to Vision To Learn health and safety protocols and HIPAA requirements.
