Job summary

Vision To Learn is seeking a licensed optometrist to join its mobile clinic in New Jersey. The role may be up to five days a week, with full-time W2 benefits and PSLF option, plus a part-time W2 option. No nights and no weekends (except rare voluntary exceptions).

Work involves traveling within the greater Newark area to provide high-quality eye exams and deliver glasses to students in underserved communities, supporting learning and long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Optometry license is required.
• Must be able to commute across the greater Newark area geography.
• Must pass Department of Justice background check (LiveScan) and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision evaluations: check VA’s, assess binocular vision, IOP, pupils, perform refraction and prescribe correction, assess ocular health.
• Prescribe vision devices and educate patients on use of devices.
• Ensure patient diagnoses are documented in internal systems.
