Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors for military service members, primarily on weekends with some weekday coverage under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP).

Active NP licenses and CPR/BLS are required; prior experience in primary/urgent/occupational health and mobile medical services is preferred. Travel to remote military installations and extended hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in primary/urgent/occupational health preferred.
• Mobile medical services experience preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, terminology preferred.
• Able to work extended hours and travel to locations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Not required to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history and medical records of service members.
• Interview service members to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify urgent concerns including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the medical record.
