Job summary

Sledge is seeking a Mobile & Multi-Platform Engineer to build for iOS, Android, tablet, and desktop. The role sits within the mobile team, with Wear OS and watchOS on the roadmap, and uses TypeScript/Next.js/Express with a React Native focus.

You will ship features weekly, craft for offline use on construction jobsites, and coordinate with design and QA to ensure durable field-ready experiences across platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience shipping apps to production on iOS and Android.
• Willingness to work with React Native or strong native experience.
• Comfort building for any device type and for real-world offline use.
• Experience with back-end APIs and real app backends.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new features across iOS and Android end-to-end.
• Build tablet-optimized layouts and experiences.
• Develop a desktop companion app as the platform expands.
• Prototype for watchOS and Wear OS as part of wearable strategy.
• Explore emerging platforms like smart glasses.
• Collaborate with mobile team to keep platforms in sync.
• Build UI for jobsite conditions: offline, gloves, variable signal.
• Integrate with backend APIs and QA for field-ready releases.
• Ship on Sledge's weekly deployment cadence.
