Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to partner as independent contractors for military service members in Texas. Most work occurs on weekends with some weekday coverage under the RHRP, across various locations including remote military installations.

Responsibilities include health assessments, reviewing medical histories, and documenting readiness classifications. CPR/BLS and an active NP license are required; experience in primary care, urgent care, or occupational health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state of Texas.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
