Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Hospital, along with our primary care network, seeks a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care across 15 locations, from the Main Campus in Boston to nearby communities. The Float Pool serves Family Medicine, Community Health Centers, Pediatric Care and Adult Internal Medicine.

The MA will work under licensed providers, collaborate with nurses and other team members, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant role supporting direct patient care under supervision of a Licensed Independent Provider (LIP), LPN or RN.
• Contributes to health maintenance, patient instruction, and collaborative planning within scope of practice.
• Interdisciplinary team member providing quality patient care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates engagement to support care delivery for patients and families.
• Promotes patient- and family-centered care for a diverse community.
• Accepts assignments for patient care within scope of preparation and current standards of practice.
• In conjunction with an LIP, LPN or RN, participates in data gathering that informs assessment, planning and evaluation of care.
• Collaborates with the health care team to achieve patient goals that are specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic and timely.
