The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant for the primary care float pool to support direct patient care across multiple locations. Primary duties include vital signs, data collection, and collaboration with LIP/LPN/RN to plan care.

The role emphasizes patient education, teamwork, and adherence to clinical guidelines. Shifts include mornings, with travel to other sites as needed and a per diem employment arrangement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification required (passed certification exam).
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Certificate Program required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm.
• Min 4 shifts per month.
• Must be able to travel to other sites.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates engagement to support care delivery for patients and families.
• Promotes an inclusive, patient- and family-centered environment.
• Accepts assignments within scope of practice.
• Gathers data with LIP/LPN/RN to assess and plan care.
• Collaborates with the health care team toward patient goals.
• Obtains vitals, documents in the EHR, and administers care as directed.
• Participates in team-based care and patient education initiatives.
• Engages in quality improvement initiatives and compliance readiness.
• Screens patients by telephone and provides instruction when directed.
