Job summary

Coeur Alaska’s Kensington Mine in Juneau, AK is seeking Mobile Mechanics to join a remote underground gold mining operation. The role offers a camp environment with housing, company-provided transportation, and a 14/14 rotation schedule designed for safety-focused, skilled technicians.

Ideal candidates have heavy equipment maintenance experience, own tools, and a proven safety record. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and in challenging mine conditions is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification/degree in Heavy Equipment Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly.
• Excellent safety, attendance, and work records.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks (lifting up to 100 pounds, heights, confined spaces).
• Willingness to work in underground and surface mining environments.
• Residency in camp during work rotations is required.
• Wearing and proper use of all PPE.
