Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician for a premier client in the building automation and industrial technology sector in West Virginia. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair heavy machinery used in construction and mining settings.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and related diagrams, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction, mining, quarry, or aggregate equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, powertrain components, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and hydraulic or electrical diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate and move heavy equipment safely; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns in the field.
• Repair or replace components such as engines and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
