Job summary

Alpha Transport Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a knowledgeable Truck and Trailer Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet.

You'll diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, handle air and electrical system work, and tackle diesel engine repairs along with suspension, brakes, and tire services. Willingness to travel between markets, own tools, and DOT certification are required; joining our safety‑focused team offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• DOT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Must own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with equipment.
• Preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Major and minor repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Air and electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
• Minor diesel engine repairs.
• Suspension, brake systems and component repairs.
• Tire maintenance and related tasks.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Must be willing to travel between markets.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Alpha Transport Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable, efficient, safe, and quality oriented Truck and Trailer Mechanic. This mobile mechanic will be responsible for a broad range of maintenance and repairs on our equipment.
