Job summary

Bozzuto in Washington DC is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager with 5+ years in trades and a strong focus on safety and resident service. You will lead maintenance teams, oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance repairs, and manage make-ready processes to support leasing timelines.

This role requires on-call availability and a proactive, customer-focused approach to preserve building value and ensure a safe, well-maintained community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in trades/facilities or residential maintenance.
• HVAC EPA and/or NAPE certification required.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Strong leadership and communication skills necessary.
• Ability to work weekends and on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto's standards and culture.
• Address resident service tickets with timely follow-up.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance issues.
• Manage make-ready and turnover to support leasing goals.
• Execute preventative maintenance and safety compliance.
• Maintain building aesthetics, grounds and on-site safety.
