Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager in Washington, DC to lead by example and ensure safety and quality across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs. You will manage make-ready, turnover, preventative maintenance and on-call rotations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the trades, HVAC/EPA/NAPE certification, strong leadership, and superb communication. The role is on-site with opportunities for growth within a community-focused employer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the trades, facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading by example and being a role model for Bozzuto’s standards and culture.
• Show care for residents with timely follow ups and completion of service tickets.
• Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Manage make-ready and turnover to leased apartments with attention to detail and timeliness.
• Preserve building value through preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain building safety and cleanliness, including snow removal and grounds.
• Sustain peak efficiency for all property components.
• Adhere to building, county and safety codes and run an accident-free operation.
• Work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.
