Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician to support Corcoran Fleet Services and drive growth across our markets. You will perform preventative maintenance, light repairs, and inspections at customer locations, primarily in the field, while traveling frequently.

The role involves a rotating schedule, with daily responsibilities including mechanical, electrical and diagnostics work on light/medium trucks, and extensive documentation of work performed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
• Travel to and perform work at customer locations, mostly outside, with travel up to 3 weeks per month.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light/medium vehicles in the field.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Use hand tools and precision instruments, plus Diesel tools, lifts and jacks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and related systems on light/medium vehicles.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using scanners and gauges.
• Identify problems, evaluate information, and select appropriate solutions.
• Order and pick parts for each job and document work on Repair Orders (RO).
• Maintain DOT forms and other required documentation in a timely manner.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment and assist in end-of-day cleanup.
