Job summary

The Morse Institute Library in Natick seeks a Bookmobile Coordinator to lead outreach efforts and ensure residents have access to information, education, and entertainment.

The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating services, operating the Bookmobile or Library Van on a regular schedule with the Outreach Librarian, and delivering reference and Reader’s Advisory services to the community. Some evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2-3 years working in a library with a demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse population.
• A valid MA driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate outreach and bookmobile services.
• Operate the Library Bookmobile and/or Library Van on a regular schedule.
• Collaborate with the Outreach Librarian to bring the library to neighborhoods, events, and community gatherings.
• Provide reference and Reader’s Advisory services, and home delivery to Natick residents.
• Collect and analyze outreach statistics to refine services for the Natick community.
• Some nights and evening shifts are required for outreach events.
